CREA 2024 WORKSHOPS - CALL FOR PROPOSALS!

As in previous years, CREA 2024 will offer a variety of interactive workshops that will expose participants to the many diverse perspectives of research and practice in the field of creativity.

All workshops at CREA 2024 will be 90 minutes in length and offered on Thursday, Friday and Saturday afternoons. Workshops allow participants to explore a specific area around some of the many themes associated with creativity and innovation, covering some of the research and theory on that topic as well as providing an opportunity for experience and practice. Please take a look at our schedule for more info: https://creaconference.com/schedule/

We will have a preference for proposals aligned with our theme: “THINKING FORWARD”. For 2024, we are inviting people to think about the future, for ourselves and for our planet. As a community devoted to learning and practising creativity, we are uniquely prepared to help to meet the challenges we are currently facing in the world, and to help build a future that is more positive, peaceful and sustainable.

Proposals do not need to focus exclusively on this theme, but there should be a clear and meaningful connection in the content and design of your workshop.

In addition, please note that we invite you to submit proposals along one of five areas of focus:

  • Creativity Models and Methods
  • New Creativity Techniques
  • Movement and Embodiment
  • Artistic Expression
  • Sustainability*

(* For more information on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, please go to https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/)

The deadline for proposal submission is December 20, 2023.

We will finalize our selection as soon as possible after this deadline and will notify all those who have submitted proposals at that time. We encourage you to consider the following guidelines:

  • Keep your session experiential and interactive
  • Make deliberate connections to Creativity and Innovation, and to this year’s theme
  • Be sensitive to the needs of multi-cultural participants, both in content and process
  • Utilize multiple methods and media that will appeal to diverse learning styles

Most workshops are expected to be led by one (1) Presenter, with a maximum of two (2) Presenters in some instances. However, should there be 2 Presenters, the discount (discussed below) will go to one Presenter, or can be split equally between the 2 Presenters.

WHAT TO KNOW AND HOW TO SUBMIT YOUR WORKSHOP PROPOSAL

  1. If you submit a Workshop proposal, DO NOT REGISTER to CREA Conference right now, please (we are optimist!)
  2. Presenters who will be selected for a workshop will receive a discount of 200 EURO on the registration fee at CREA (sorry, no discount can be applied to accommodation costs) and can fully enjoy the programs offered at CREA.
  3. If your proposal will not be selected, you could Register to CREA Conference 2024 as a participant with the EARLY BIRD rate (-150€ on the registration fee at CREA)
