Sylvain Matte

Sylvain Matte is President of Coefficient Management, based in Montreal (Québec), offering management consulting, facilitation and training services. He is also currently responsible for the Undergraduate Certificate in creativity and innovation at the Faculty of Continuing Education of the University of Montreal.
Fluent in both French and English, his background includes a degree in IT, an MBA, 14 years at Alcan, and almost 25 years as a consultant. His areas of expertise include organizational diagnostics, strategic planning, organizational development, change management, and project management as well as training and facilitation in creative problem solving and applied creativity. He has managed projects, provided consulting services, delivered training and facilitated sessions in Canada, the United States, México, Brazil, Columbia, Haiti, various EU countries, Northern Africa, Congo and Chine.
He teaches graduate courses at both HEC Montréal and the University of Sherbrooke. He is a lifetime member of the Creative Education Foundation and was a leader at their Creative Problem Solving Institute conference from 1991 to 2004. He was awarded their Distinguished Leader Award in 1999 and the Distinguished Service Award in 2005. He is a founding member of Créa-Québec, the association for the development of creativity, and served as vice-president from 2011 to 2014. At CREA, he has been present since the first days of the conference, he has helped design and deliver multiple CPS programs over the years and is a member of the CREA Team since 2007.
