Maggie Dugan

Maggie loves designing and leading interactive events that provoke innovation: creativity workshops, leadership development programs, facilitator trainings, creative strategy sessions, hack-a-thons. She’s part of the facilitation team at Knowinnovation, running workshops to accelerate scientific innovation for national funding agencies and universities, and head of KI’s initiative, Inclusive Innovation, applying creative process to activate innovation within the field of economic development.

Maggie has been deeply involved in designing and facilitating the Africa Science Leadership Program (ASLP) and a similar program in Southeast Asia, the ASEAN-SLP, to inspire early- and mid-career scientists to explore how to use creative, collaborative techniques as science leaders within their institutions, their countries and their regions. Her latest project: promoting intense, immersive workshops designed to tackle the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Maggie would like to note that her oldest daughter, who was present at the very first CREA conference, is now a University student (gulp).
