After completing his doctorate in psychology at the University of Bordeaux (France), René obtained a professorship at UQAM. His post-doctoral studies took him to California to the Universities of Santa Cruz and Berkeley, where he specialized in the psychology of creativity, and for several years to the Creative Problem Solving Institute, he was elected a director of the Creative Education Foundation, which awarded him the title of Distinguished Leader and inducted him into the Hall of Fame. His training also includes the accreditation of Kirton Adaption-Innovation (KAI) and Basadur-Simplex. He is invited to participate in the programs of the Creativity European Association (CREA) in Italy and France, with the aim of making creativity contagious in a context where rigour, challenge, humour and play are combined.
